Objective
Provide monthly financial assistance of ₹1,500 to economically weaker women in Maharashtra to enhance their financial independence and self-reliance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Permanent resident of Maharashtra
- Married, widowed, divorced, abandoned, or destitute woman
- Age: 21 to 65 years
- Annual family income: Below ₹2.5 lakh
- Must have Aadhaar card and Aadhaar-linked bank account (DBT enabled)
- eKYC must be completed
- NOT eligible: Income tax payers, women who are MPs/MLAs/government employees in service, women receiving pension or salary from government

Maharashtra's Mahayuti government launched the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana on June 28, 2024 — and it quickly became one of the most talked-about welfare schemes in the state. Eligible women receive ₹1,500 every month directly in their bank account, no questions asked, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
Who Is Eligible

Who is NOT eligible:

Monthly Payment
₹1,500 per month → ₹18,000 per year
The amount is transferred directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT. No cash, no cheque, no third party.

- Fill in the application form with personal, family, and bank details
- Upload required documents
- Complete Aadhaar eKYC
- Submit and save your application number
