Objective

Provide direct financial assistance of ₹50,000 over 5 years to eligible women in Odisha to enhance their economic self-reliance and financial inclusion.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a permanent resident of Odisha
  • Age: 21 to 60 years
  • Must be a woman (men are not eligible)
  • Must hold NFSA ration card OR have annual family income ≤ ₹2.5 lakh
  • Must have Aadhaar card and Aadhaar-linked bank account
  • NOT eligible: Income tax payers, current or former MPs/MLAs, government employees receiving salary or pension, holders of constitutional posts

Benefits & Features

  • 1₹10,000 per year paid in two instalments of ₹5,000 each
  • 2Instalment 1: Raksha Bandhan / Independence Day (August 15) every year
  • 3Instalment 2: International Women's Day (March 8) every year
  • 4Total benefit over 5 years: ₹50,000 per woman
  • 5Additional: ₹500 gift voucher on the beneficiary's birthday
  • 6All payments directly into Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT

  • Aadhaar card
  • Aadhaar-linked bank account passbook (DBT enabled)
  • NFSA ration card OR income certificate showing annual family income ≤ ₹2.5 lakh
  • Residence certificate / Odisha domicile proof
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Self-declaration that you do not belong to excluded categories

How to Apply

Visit subhadra.odisha.gov.in to apply online. You will need your Aadhaar number and mobile number for OTP-based login. Fill in the application form, upload required documents, and submit. Offline applications can be submitted at your nearest Anganwadi centre, Gram Panchayat office, Mo Seba Kendra, or CSC (Common Service Centre). Applications are verified by ward/panchayat level officials before approval.

Subhadra Yojana Odisha — ₹50,000 Over 5 Years for Women of Odisha

The Government of Odisha launched the Subhadra Yojana on September 17, 2024 — and it is one of the most generous women's cash transfer schemes in India right now. Every eligible woman between 21 and 60 years gets ₹10,000 per year for five years, adding up to ₹50,000 in her bank account.

The scheme is named after Goddess Subhadra, and was launched by PM Narendra Modi in Bhubaneswar.

How the Money Comes

The ₹10,000 annual amount is split into two instalments of ₹5,000 each:

In addition, eligible beneficiaries receive a ₹500 voucher on their birthday every year.

All payments go directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) — no middlemen, no cash handling.

How to Apply

Online:

  1. Visit subhadra.odisha.gov.in
  2. Click on 'Apply' and log in with your Aadhaar-linked mobile number (OTP)
  3. Fill in the application form — personal details, bank account details, ration card number
  4. Upload required documents
  5. Submit — you will receive an application number for tracking

Offline: Visit your nearest Anganwadi centre, Gram Panchayat, Mo Seba Kendra, or CSC (Common Service Centre) with your documents.

Applications are verified by ward or panchayat officials before approval.
