Subhadra Yojana Odisha — ₹50,000 Over 5 Years for Women of Odisha
The Government of Odisha launched the Subhadra Yojana on September 17, 2024 — and it is one of the most generous women's cash transfer schemes in India right now. Every eligible woman between 21 and 60 years gets ₹10,000 per year for five years, adding up to ₹50,000 in her bank account.
The scheme is named after Goddess Subhadra, and was launched by PM Narendra Modi in Bhubaneswar.
How the Money Comes
The ₹10,000 annual amount is split into two instalments of ₹5,000 each:
| Instalment | Date |
|---|---|
| 1st Instalment | August 15 (Independence Day / Raksha Bandhan period) |
| 2nd Instalment | March 8 (International Women's Day) |
In addition, eligible beneficiaries receive a ₹500 voucher on their birthday every year.
All payments go directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) — no middlemen, no cash handling.
