Annapurna Bhandar 2026: Rs 3,000 a Month for WB Women

West Bengal cash transfer scheme paying eligible women Rs 3,000 a month (Rs 36,000 a year) by direct benefit transfer into the beneficiary's own Aadhaar-linked bank account, with rollout beginning 1 June 2026. Administered through socialsecurity.wb.gov.in with household data collected via the state social registry at socialregistry.wb.gov.in. The transfer is unconditional and untied, with no requirement to spend it on a specified purpose. SOURCING the scheme's existence and its Rs 3,000 monthly value are traceable to a government broadcaster; the reported age band of 25 to 60, the automatic migration of existing Lakshmir Bhandar beneficiaries and total coverage figures appear on secondary sites without a traceable government order and are presented as reported rather than confirmed.

Tamil Nadu Free LPG Cylinder Scheme 2026: Not Notified

A promise of free LPG cylinders for Tamil Nadu households was made in manifesto commitments ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election. As of August 2026 no government order, notification or application process has been issued by the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, so eligibility, benefit terms and rollout are NOT confirmed and there is nothing to apply for. This page states only what is verifiable. The LPG support genuinely available to Tamil Nadu households today is the central Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana for new connections and the central LPG subsidy delivered by direct benefit transfer for existing consumers.

WB Free Bus Travel for Women 2026: No Application Needed

Free bus travel for all women residents of West Bengal on state-run buses, operational since 1 June 2026, with no application process, no means test and no age condition. Intended to remove transport cost as a constraint on women's participation in work and education, support independent mobility, and encourage use of formal public transport. Smart cards with QR codes keyed to Aadhaar or voter EPIC are being issued progressively, but entitlement does not depend on holding one: until the card system is fully operational, any government photo identity document suffices and the conductor issues a Zero Value Ticket.
