Launched by Maharashtra Chief Minister

Objective

Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana supplements the central PM KISAN scheme by providing Maharashtra farmers an additional ₹6,000 per year directly in their bank accounts — so that registered farmers in Maharashtra receive a combined ₹12,000/year (₹6,000 PM KISAN + ₹6,000 Namo Shetkari).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Registered farmers with agricultural land in the state of Maharashtra
  • Must be enrolled in PM KISAN Samman Nidhi — Namo Shetkari is a supplementary scheme
  • Land records must be updated and Aadhaar-linked in the Mahabhoomi system
  • Tenant farmers listed under the Maharashtra Tenancy Act may also be eligible (verify at Talathi office)

  • 2Combined with PM KISAN: total annual income support of ₹12,000 per farmer family
  • 3Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-linked bank account

Official Portal & Helpline

1What Is Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi?

Maharashtra farmers already get ₹6,000/year from PM KISAN — but the state government decided that wasn't enough. The Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana adds another ₹6,000/year on top, making the total income support ₹12,000 per year for registered farmers in Maharashtra.

This state-level scheme was launched by the Maharashtra government and mirrors the PM KISAN structure — three instalments of ₹2,000 each, directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account.

2How Much Will You Get and When?

SchemeAnnual AmountPer InstalmentTotal Instalments
PM KISAN (Central)₹6,000₹2,0003
Namo Shetkari (State)₹6,000₹2,0003
Combined Total₹12,000₹2,000 (alternating)6

Effectively, you get ₹2,000 every two months throughout the year.

3Do You Need to Apply Separately?

Most farmers do not need a separate application. If you are:

  • Already registered in PM KISAN, AND
  • Your land records (7/12 Utara/Satbara) are updated in Maharashtra's Mahabhoomi system

...then the state automatically enrolls you in Namo Shetkari.

However, check your status at nsmny.mahaagri.gov.in. If instalments are not coming, you need to visit your Talathi (revenue officer) to resolve the mismatch.

4Common Reasons for Missing Instalments

  • Aadhaar not seeded to bank account — link at your bank branch
  • 7/12 land records not updated — visit Talathi office
  • Aadhaar name mismatch between bank records and land records
  • Joint land ownership — only the primary holder registered in Satbara receives the benefit
  • Tenant farmers — must have their name entered under the tenancy column in 7/12

5How to Check Your Status

  1. Go to nsmny.mahaagri.gov.in
  2. Click "Beneficiary Status"
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number or registered mobile number
  4. View instalment status and payment history

For PM KISAN status: pmkisan.gov.in → "Know Your Status"

6Helpline for Disputes

If your application shows "pending" or "rejected" without a valid reason, call the state helpline at 1800-233-4000 or visit the District Agriculture Office. Bring your Aadhaar, bank passbook, and 7/12 Utara.
