1What Is the ₹500 Gas Cylinder Scheme?

LPG cylinders cost around ₹850 to 900 in the open market in 2026. For a family earning ₹8,000 to 10,000 a month, that's 9 to 10% of their monthly income. Just on cooking gas. Telangana's ₹500 Gas Cylinder Scheme cuts that to ₹500 flat for eligible ration card holders.

Launched by the Revanth Reddy government, the scheme directly reduces one of the most significant household expenses for BPL families in Telangana.
