What Is RRB NTPC?
RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) is one of the largest railway recruitment drives in India. It fills two types of positions: graduate-level posts like Station Master, Goods Guard, and Commercial Apprentice — and 12th-pass level posts like Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, and Trains Clerk.
This is not just a desk job in an office. Station Masters manage entire railway stations — train movements, signal operations, passenger safety, platform coordination. Goods Guards travel with freight trains. The work is field-based and operationally important.
The current cycle (CEN 05/2024) covers 11,558 vacancies across all 21 RRBs. If you've already applied for the current cycle, check results at rrbapply.gov.in. A new NTPC cycle is expected in 2026–2027 as Railways continues to expand.
