Total Vacancies

100 Junior Telecom Officer posts across various BSNL circles and telecom districts in India. BSNL last recruited JTOs through GATE scores, so this direct recruitment notification has generated a lot of interest among engineering graduates.

Salary

BSNL JTOs are placed in the E1 IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) pay scale: ₹16,400 – ₹40,500.

With the current IDA rate of ~236.8% and other allowances, the gross monthly salary works out to approximately ₹65,000. After deductions, the estimated in-hand (net) salary is ₹54,000–₹60,000 per month depending on your posting city.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

You need one of the following:

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in any of these disciplines — from a recognized university:

4. Fill in personal details, educational qualification, and other required information
5. Upload your scanned photo and signature (as per the specified file size and format)

Selection Process

BSNL will select candidates through a 3-stage process — no interview:

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Qualifying marks:

• General / OBC / EWS: Minimum 40% in each section, 50% overall
• SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD: Minimum 35% in each section, 45% overall

The CBT is tentatively scheduled for August 2026.

Stage 2: Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit will be called to verify original documents — degree certificate, age proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and others.

Stage 3: Medical Examination

A basic medical fitness test as per BSNL standards. Candidates who clear DV and the medical exam get the final offer letter.
