What to carry to the exam centre
You must bring both of these on exam day:
- Printed admit card — colour printout preferred; clear photograph and barcode must be visible.
- Original photo ID — one of: Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, Employee ID (for Central/State government employees).
The photo ID you bring must be the same one you mentioned during registration, though SSC generally accepts any valid government-issued photo ID at the centre.
Don't bring: mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, earphones, or any electronic device. They're not allowed inside the exam hall and may result in disqualification. Bags and water bottles are also generally not permitted — check the exam centre instructions on the back of your admit card.
If your admit card has an error
Contact SSC immediately through the regional helpdesk listed on ssc.gov.in. Don't wait until exam day.
For name or date of birth corrections, SSC may ask you to bring supporting documents to the exam centre. Carry your original Class 10 marksheet or certificate on exam day regardless — it serves as proof of name, date of birth, and qualification.
If the photograph on the admit card is blurry or absent, carry extra passport-size photographs matching your registration photo. Most exam centres ask for one photograph to paste on the attendance sheet.
